Mickey's Hot Dogs Barlas Legacy

Barlas Family Celebrates 40 Years of Greek and American Cuisine

In 1981, Paul Barlas, an ambitious immigrant from Corinth, Greece, fulfilled his American dream of owning his own restaurant. After moving to Canada and gaining valuable experience in the restaurant industry, Paul purchased Mickey's Hot Dogs years later in the 80s. With his Greek heritage and entrepreneurial spirit, Paul transformed Mickey's into a beloved destination for both Greek and American cuisine.

Over the next 40 years, Mickey's Hot Dogs thrived, thanks to the dedication of Paul and the contributions of his family. His son George joined the business early on, learning from Paul’s expertise and playing a key role in shaping the restaurant’s growth. Together, they expanded the menu and solidified Mickey's reputation as a community favorite.

Today, George oversees Mickey's Hotdogs, continuing his father’s legacy with the support of his children. The restaurant remains a family-run operation, where the values of tradition, hard work, and quality are at the heart of everything they do. With a menu that celebrates their Greek roots while embracing American classics, Mickey's Hot Dogs continues to be a place where customers feel at home, and new memories are created every day.
